Transitional effects are an important part of modern electronic music.  As a producer, you should have access to a huge arsenal of risers, explosions, white noise and more.  Whether you’re working on a build-up or a breakdown these effects will make your transitions seamless.

Getting Started.

Step 1 – Set up your white noise.

Bypass all of your oscillators.  Activate your Noise and leave it set to White.

Turn your Color up to 2 o’clock and max out your Amp.

Step 2 – Adjust your envelopes.

For Envelope 4, lengthen your Release and Attack.  Max out your Decay Level.

For Envelope 1, max out your Attack, Attack Level and Decay Level.  Set your Release to 11 o’clock.

Step 3 – Set up your Filter.

Choose a Comb filter and route Envelope 1 to the Pitch on your filter.  Max out the Damping and Feedback parameters.

Step 4 – Polish off with some Reverb.

A touch of Reverb will do the trick.
